Freedom House Teams with Navalny

Alexey Navalny is now looking to USA taxpayer supported Freedom House for help.  On the surface Freedom House is…

an independent nongovernmental organization, support[ing] the expansion of freedom in the world. Freedom is possible only in democratic political systems in which the governments are accountable to their own people; the rule of law prevails; and freedoms of expression, association, and belief, as well as respect for the rights of minorities and women, are guaranteed.

However, you know that any NGO that was once led by CIA bigwig James Woolsey has a more dubious agenda. This agenda includes attempting to overturn world leaders. One of its most successful works was bringing down Slobodan Milosevic…

Freedom House took an active role in the overthrow of Slobodan Milosevic in 2000, specifically in training the nonviolent student movement, known as Otpor. Formed in 1998 at the University of Belgrade, the organization adopted an organized strategy to turn the people of Serbia against Milosevic in the 2000 election.

The student leaders’ saga was documented in “Bringing Down a Dictator,” a documentary released by Peter Ackerman, the former Freedom House board chairman   Otpor’s efforts inspired other pro-democratic nonviolent student movements across Eastern Europe, in the Middle East, and around the world.

It should also come as no surprise that U.S. Ambassador Michael McFaul has a long history with Freedom House…

He is also a non-resident Senior Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Eurasia Foundation, the Firebird Fund, Freedom House, the International Forum for Democratic Studies of the National Endowment for Democracy, and the International Research and Exchange Board (IREX).

This is the very same McFaul who told Slon.ru (a shady media outlet at best)…

“Most Russia-watchers are diplomats, or specialists on security and arms control. Or Russian culture. I am neither. I can’t recite Pushkin by heart. I am a specialist in democracy, anti-dictatorial movements, and revolutions” (emphasis added).

So, the question is why would Navalny create a tweet that just raises more questions as to whether or not he is an American agent?  And why would he retweet (he retweeted the below Kara-Murza tweet) anything from Vladimir Kara-Murza who John McCain calls a friend?

He said he was fully aware of the close and proven links between Freedom House and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), under which the NGO carried out destabilization missions against legitimately-established governments.  Freedom House tried to sell the image of an NGO promoting democratic values while concealing the fact that it was a tool of subversion.  While he supported the positive and constructive contributions made by NGOs, he could not allow their image to be tarnished by a tiny minority of groups such as Freedom House. – See more at: http://www.classwarfareexists.com/how-the-cia-operates-through-non-governmental-agencies/#sthash.sxc0g79I.d
